Medical Malpractice
Zeleskey has represented physicians and physician groups in medical malpractice cases almost since the inception of the firm. Thus, our experience through generations of our attorneys, the firm’s central location in East Texas, and numerous available resources permit our team to handle the defense of physicians and hospitals throughout the region for every facet of malpractice and negligence claims. We represent physicians in all specialties, including obstetricians, surgeons, emergency department physicians, cardiovascular surgeons and cardiologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, orthopedists, and pediatricians, and have developed a reputation for excellence in the defense of our clients. We also represent hospitals in claims involving medical malpractice, inappropriate credentialing, and nursing malpractice, as well as nursing homes with claims involving malpractice and/or negligence.
We also represent individual nurses in medical malpractice claims and in practice issues before the Board of Nurse Examiners. In these areas, we have worked with matters involving medication errors, procedural issues, and substance abuse. One of our attorneys, Judi Wells, is a currently licensed registered nurse as well as an attorney in our malpractice litigation section. Through her, we maintain a broad knowledge base on issues related to professional nursing and current requirements of the Board of Nurse Examiners.
