TxDOT forces have been out since this morning preparing for the current winter weather across North Texas. TxDOT will be working overnight to ensure our roads remain passable and safe. Particular attention is given to bridges, high traffic interchanges and roadways. We are using snowplows, salt spreaders and liquid de-icing rigs to assist with de-icing/anti-icing of the roadways and bridges. We are currently focusing on using the granular de-icing materials to improve traction on the roadways. If travel can be avoided please stay off the roadways, bridges and roadways will freeze overnight and remain slick.

Paris - Hwy 82 west is the worst of the roadways at this time, we are beginning to blade that area.

Bonham - All areas are hazardous, but Hwy 82 is our main concern and focus.

Clarksville, Cooper, Sulphur Springs, Mt. Vernon, Sherman and Emory - All areas are covered and extreme caution is advised when traveling.

Greenville - I-30 is slow moving due to snow accumulations and trailer truck accidents which take even longer in current weather conditions.
