The congregation at Red River Unitarian Universalist Church will celebrate romantic love on Sunday, February 14th at their 11:15 a.m. worship service. Working from 1 Corinthians 13, the members and friends of the church's Musical Chalice Circle, UUJam, will share their musical talents with a expansive celebration of romantic love through songs. Augmented with a live ensemble of flute, guitar and piano, they will musically examine everything from youthful ardor to contented middle-aged commitment.
Once monthly, the congregation contributes the morning offering to a local community-action program. In honor of National Black History Month, this months "Share The Plate" will go to support the work of the Grayson County NAACP organization and shall be collected on Sunday.
Red River UU church, the only liberal religious community in our area is located at 102 W. Harrison, one block south of the intersection of Spur 503 and Hwy 69 in Denison and always welcome visitors and newcomers who wish to explore Unitarian Universalism: The Uncommon Denomination. Sunday school for children is at 11:15 a.m. and the Adult Forum (open to all) discusses a variety of interesting topics from 10 - 11 a.m.
