As a civic/service organization Optimists work to help make children’s lives better. Check us out next week end as we present Books to Sherman school libraries. Optimists have been serving the needs of children since 1919. The NTX District has over 2700 members in 68 clubs that provide a wide variety of services and scholarships to boys and girls in their communities. The programs that have the widest participation include: Oratorical Contests, Essay Contests, Youth Appreciation day, Respect for Law, Tri-Star Sports clinic and many others.
