Ahhh…Love is in the air. But year after year you buy the same old tired Valentines card, and, quite frankly, the thrill is gone. Where’s the spark? Where’s the fun? Not to worry, a merry band of costumed cupids is ready to deliver singing Valentine messages for area romantics. Now your friends and loved ones can hear how you really feel! “Singing Valentines is one of the most entertaining events of the year for both the recipient and the people singing,’’ says Nichele Wells, Sherman Community Players Theater Guild President. “The best part is the delivery of a song with a theatrical flair. We can guarantee a wonderful time for all!” Requests are scheduled for Tuesday, February 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for romantics from Sherman, Denison, Pottsboro, Bells and the surrounding area. Recipients may include spouses, sweethearts, friends, bosses, or even children. The singers will go to the location of your choice. The Singing Valentines are performed by a group of four to eight costumed members and friends of the Theater Guild. “Smiles abound when people see us arrive,” says Lois Roberds, the event coordinator, “and the recipients always enjoy the extra special attention.” Choose from several romantic or fun songs. The standard presentation includes two songs, a keepsake picture, a balloon, and costs $25. Or, the Singing Valentines will write a custom song and deliver a keepsake picture, balloon, plus a box of candy for $40. Custom presentations can include personal information in the song, like nicknames or secret messages. Arrange your presentation before Valentine’s Day, the earlier the better! Call Lois Roberds at 903-818-0775 to schedule your Singing Valentine today.
