Texoma Expo 2006 will be held at Midway Mall beginning at 10 a.m. February 17. The two day show is a business expo with over 120 vendors scheduled to participant by being on hand to show and demonstrate their product or service according to Chairman Jim Crenshaw. Vendors will include medical services, janitorial supplies, home health, assisted living, home repair & remodeling, investment firms, internet providers and a wide variety of other businesses. Hours of the show are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. both February 17 & 18.
The event sponsored annually by the Denison, Sherman and Whitesboro Chambers of Commerce goal is to assist individuals and businesses in becoming aware of the many products and services available locally.
Highlighting this year’s Expo will be a scavenger hunt with prizes donated by mall merchants being given away hourly with the grand prize donated by Sherman Power Sports of a Suzuki JR 80 valued at $1,500which will being given away to a lucky entrant at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening at the Sherman Power Sport booth.
Entertainment will be held at Center Court on February 17 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on February 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Featured entertainers on the 17th will be Texoma Christian School Choir, Brian Bertran, Jason Elemore, Troy Wener, Traci Werner, Kenardly Playboys. Featured on the 18th will be Greg Guymon & Morris McCann, Jason Elmore, Matt Porter, Traci Werner, Troy Werner, and artist from Rialto Theatre.
Texoma Idol is back for the second year and is your opportunity to shine with either your musical or dance talent. Dance competition will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Center Court on Friday evening and the Vocal competition begins at 10 a.m. and concludes with the finals at 7 p.m. Advance entry fee is $10 per act and $15 day if registering the day of competition.
