The Friends of the Sherman Public Library have dedicated funds raised through grants and book sales to summer 2006 activities for children such as the Summer Reading Program and Monday Madness, which is co-sponsored by the Sherman Public Library and Sherman Park and Recreation.
Monday Madness is held weekly at 2 p.m. beginning June 5. All programs are held in the Municipal Ballroom and are FREE! Programs scheduled:
June 5 Drums Around the World
June 12 Jungle Jim, Bugs of the World
June 19 Fitness Fun with Boopsie
June 26 Story Book Theatre with a performance of Amelia Bedelia
July 10 Magical Mysterious Suitcase Science Show (this show is for 2nd grade and up)
July 17 Critterman, Ultimate Safari
July 24 Todd McKinney, The Magic Sport
