Desiree Jacobs has to slow her breathing as she approaches the office of the curator, Dr. Sanderson Plate, of the Boston Public Museum of Arts and Antiquities. You see, she is about to steal one of their pieces of art which is worth a great deal of money. All the security cameras are on her as she enters his office and she knows this, so she tries her winning smile on him to no avail. This story is one that will grab you from the beginning and hold you through its breathless ending. You will find yourself running with “Desi”, all the way from Boston to Paris, France and back again. You will hide with her as she peeks around corners to see if someone is waiting to attack her and sometimes you will find yourself crying with her. Desi and a good-looking FBI agent will lead you on a chase you won’t forget. She will not only win your heart but the heart of one she thinks she hates. Jill Elizabeth Nelson has written a fine mystery novel, her first. It, like the second one of the series, has moved her quickly into my group of favorite writers. I would like to thank Multonomah Publishers, Sisters, Oregon for publishing this. I can hardly wait for the second one to come out.
