Rare Visitors at Hagerman NWR
Article
Two Whooping Cranes have been seen at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Monday, December 17 and Tuesday, December 18, 2007. They were located at Muleshoe Marsh, about halfway down the auto tour in the afternoon, and by the low water crossing just down from the Visitor Center this morning. Since they travel in "families" this may be a pair on their way south. For information on activities and programs sponsored by the Friends of HAgerman at the refuge, visit the new website, www.friendsofhagerman.com .
