Noted Sherman gardener and author Jessie Stephens will lead a Wildflower Walk Saturday morning, April 12, at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. The free program, sponsored by the Friends of Hagerman, will begin at 10 a.m. in the AV Center at the Refuge, 6465 Refuge Road, Sherman. Participants will be treated to a slide show of typical North Texas wildflowers, followed by an outdoor walk. Rick Cantu, Refuge Assistant Manager will also be on hand to guide visitors. Wildflowers to be seen will depend on Mother Nature! Those attending are welcome to bring cameras and field guides, if available. In case of rain, the program will remain indoors.
