For the second year Sherman Arts Festival is offering a short film competition, 24 Hour Script to Screen. Contestants will have 24 hours, from midnight Sept. 12 – midnight Sept. 13, to produce a video up to seven minutes in length. Entries will be judged according to age level and there will be a cash prize for the top winner in each category. Winning videos will be screened in the Honey McGee Playhouse on Sept. 20 and all entries will be screened on Cable One following that date.
In order to help aspiring producers prepare for the contest, a film-making workshop will be held twice at the Sherman Youth Center during the month of August. For contest entry and workshop information, go to www.24hourscript2screen.org.
