Hummingbirds of Texas
Article
Second Saturday at Hagerman NWR will feature Mark Klym and “Hummingbirds of Texas” on July 12. The presentation will include beautiful photos of these flying jewels and emphasize the importance of habitat. The program is open to the public, at no charge, and will begin in the AV Center at 10 a.m. Klym is coordinator for both the Texas Wildscapes and Texas Hummingbird Roundup programs at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He is coauthor of the recently published book “Hummingbirds of Texas”, printed by Texas A&M Press. Klym is donating a signed copy of his book as a door prize and there will also be a drawing for a hummingbird feeder. Second Saturday nature programs are sponsored monthly by the Friends of Hagerman NWR, and are free and open to the public.
