Photography programs at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge offer two things: technical help and a host of natural and ever-changing subjects. On Saturday, June 13, the emphasis will be on the technical aspects when Hagerman NWR and the Friends of Hagerman host a panel discussion for photographers. The subject for the panel will be questions previously sent in to the Friends by photographers, related to techniques. Jack Chiles, Mary Karam, Mark McCune and Randall Lantz will be panel members. The discussion will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Refuge and conclude at 9:30 a.m., in time for those who wish to attend the regular Second Saturday program for June, Prairie Plants of North Texas. In addition, Refuge Biologist Dan Dinkler will be serving gourmet pancakes, starting at 8 a.m., to benefit the Friends. All area photographers are invited to come early, enjoy breakfast , first come, first served. The discussion is free of charge and open to the public. Due to continued lake flooding and road construction , for updated directions to the Refuge see the Friends website, www.friendsofhagerman.com, or call the Refuge during regular office hours , 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday.
