Dr. Hugh Garnett, retired professor of economics at Austin College, has a tremendous collection that requires no dusting - a collection of over 400 species of plants on his private preserve in Montague County. Saturday Dr. Garnett shared breathtaking photos of the wildflowers found in the preserve, which encompasses two distinct habitats, increasing plant diversity.
The program was one of the Second Saturday series sponsored by Hagerman NWR and the Friends of HAgerman. For July 11 the topic will be Dragonflies and Damselflies with US Fish and Wildlife Service expert, Omar Bocanegra.
