Auditioners must come with a prepared song to sing (just about a minute long), and will also be given a scene to read from the musical itself. There is no previous theatre experience required and the auditions are open to anyone wishing to try-out. A piano, CD/Tape player will be available to assist with your accompaniment. A capella singing is accepted too, but prefer to her voice with accompaniment. Those trying out for Oompa-Loompas, if you have any gymnastic training, let the Director know.

WILLY WONKA is the first show of Theatricks 2009-2010 season and performs September 5 & 6 in the historic Kidd-Key Auditorium. The “Golden Ticket” to Roald Dahl’s timeless story of the world famous candy man comes to life in this stage adaptation. “Pure Imagination” is inspired by fascinating flying effects created by ZFX and the scrumptious songs from the classic family film WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.
If cast in the show WILLY WONKA, rehearsals will begin Monday, July 27 and will be Monday through Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. until the play opens Saturday, September 5 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and again September 6 at 2 p.m. For more information about auditions, contact Webster Crocker at 903-893-8525 or webster@scptheater.org.
