Article
Birds, wildlife, autumn landscape and more! Anyone interested in nature photography will have a great opportunity for a guided photo shoot at the Fall 2010 Photo Safari at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, on Saturday, October 23. Beginning at 8 a.m. that morning, small groups led by experienced photographers will go out on the Refuge to shoot until 11:30 a.m., and then gather for a brown-bag wrap session. The Photo Safari is sponsored by Hagerman NWR and the Friends of Hagerman Nature Photo Club. This will be the second year for this popular free program and spaces are limited, so advance registration is required, simply e-mail fohphotoclub@gmail.com, sending your name, contact info and camera make & model. Photographers of all levels of experience are welcome. Hagerman NWR is located on the Big Mineral Arm of Lake Texoma, and encompasses 11,000 plus acres: water, marsh, and uplands. The Refuge hosts a rich variety of migratory birds in addition to the resident wildlife. The landscape should be exhibiting seasonal color also. For directions, call 903 786 2826 during business hours, or visit http://www.friendsofhagerman.com.
