Austin College Presents an Evening of Chamber Music and Jazz
Article
SHERMAN, TEXAS—The Austin College Music Department will present its annual fall concert of instrumental chamber music and jazz on Monday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Wynne Chapel. The concert will feature performances by students, faculty, and community members in brass, orchestra, and big band ensembles. Under the direction of Austin College Mosher Professor of Music Dr. Ricky Duhaime, the concert is free and open to the public.

Ranging from a concerto for string orchestra by the Baroque composer G.F. Händel to a full 20-piece jazz ensemble performing both traditional and contemporary literature, this concert customarily signals the end of the College’s fall term and the beginning of the holiday season.

The Händel piece will include solo performances by Austin College senior Yongwoo David Jo of Flower Mound, Texas; sophomore Edward Kim of Carrollton, Texas; and sophomore Annalise Kean of Arlington, Texas.
