The Preston Trail chapter is proud to announce that the NSDAR Special Projects Grants Committee approved a grant application by the Grayson County Frontier Village for re-chinking the historic Price/Shaw cabin. Lisa Lettie, Dr. Charla Harris and Teal Gray were instrumental in helping get the grant submitted.
On April 4th, the Preston Trail Chapter NSDAR hosted a very interesting program about Revolutionary Era women’s dresses, given by Carolyn Schiewe. The dresses were all made by Mrs. Schiewe and were modeled live very beautifully by some of the chapter’s daughters. Not only was the style show a visual treat, but there was much interesting information given, like the origins of the fabric’s dyes.
