Learn to Play Piano in Three Hours!
Learning to play the piano has never been this easy! If playing the piano is a dream you thought would never come true, you won’t want to miss two exciting workshops offered by the Community Education Program of Ardmore Public Schools. “Easy Piano for Hopelessly Busy People” & “Piano by Ear – You Don’t Have to be Born With It!” are scheduled on Monday and Tuesday, September 15thth & 16th, 6:00-9:00 each evening. “These workshops are ideal for adults who have a desire to learn to play the piano for fun without having to invest in years and years of lessons," said workshop instructor, Terry Maddock. Over 100,000 adults have succeeded with this course nationwide and the Public Television program "Play Piano in a Flash" uses these same learning techniques.
Maddock will teach students how chords work in a song, how to get more out of sheet music by reading less, and how to simplify hundreds of complex chords, allowing students to play any of their favorite songs whether it’s gospel, country, pop, Christmas, or folk.
"We¹ve received a lot of positive feedback from students," said Maddock. "These classes really simplify playing the piano and puts music theory into language they can understand."
Participants will learn in just three short hours all the chords needed to play any song, in any key, in any style. Students will learn how to take their favorite music and play it immediately. “We teach students the tricks and licks of the trade to make it sound like they¹ve been playing the piano for a long time.”
A huge plus - students who participate in these classes are welcome to attend classes at a later time absolutely free. The cost for “Easy Piano” is $55, and only $95 for both workshops.
Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. Call Community Education Dept. @ 580-221-3037, Ext. 11 to register or to obtain more information.
