Tuesday, November 11, 2003 Water pool level: 613.03, normal annual pool level is 617 feet. Water temperature: 67 degrees. Water clarity: clear. Generating Schedule: 7 PM to 10 PM. Today was nice with the low this morning 48 degrees and a light south wind. The high yesterday was only 52 degrees. The extended forecast for the coming week is for lows in the upper 40s and highs in the higher 60s. There is a slight chance of showers Wednesday. Sunrise was 6:53 AM and Sunset was 5:27 PM. The striper fishing is as good as it gets RIGHT NOW on LAKE TEXOMA. Limits of stripers up to 10 pounds are being caught in less than an hour. Large blue catfish are breaking our lines under the feeding stripers. The TOPWATER ACTION has started up fantastic. Larger stripers are being caught on topwater lures in several different locations on the lake. If you like this type of action now is the time to come to Lake Texoma. Afternoon and night fishing has been super for both striper and catfish. Many of our anglers prefer afternoons when the temperature is much more pleasant than early in the morning. For the last week it has made no difference whether you went out fishing at 7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM or 4:00 PM. Limits of stripers are being caught. Some of the larger stripers are being caught on the afternoon trips. The Clarence Dingus Party from Kansas fished three boats Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. They caught limits in every boat on every day. Some of the guys had sore wrists and said they had enough fishing to last a while. Everyone had a great time changing guides every day, going out with the guides to catch bait and fishing for blue catfish after catching a limit of stripers. I could write many stories about the last ten days fishing. Many of my customers call and want to know when the fishing is the best and topwater action has started. I can not impress on you enough about how great the fishing is right now.
