Western Oklahoma sign artist, Mark Yearwood recently won three awards in Sign Business Magazine's 2003 Portfolio Sign Design Contest.
Yearwood took second and third place out of a possible three in the painted sign category and one runner up.
There were over 200 national entries in the contest and the winners were featured in the December 2003 issue of Sign Business.
Yearwood is the owner of Yearwood Signs & Graphics in Weatherford, OK. and has been creating unique handcrafted signs for over 21 years.
Both "old world" and modern techniques are used to fabricate truly one-of-a-kind images.
The shop still offers hand lettering, Gold Leaf and hand carving on custom projects. Things that are becoming more rare with todays modern technology.
As Mark puts it: "I like to call myself a Keeper of the Craft" he says.
