August was an excellent month for catching double digit stripers. Our customers caught many sixteen+ pound stripers last month. The outlook for September is great. Sunny Kemp from Pottsboro boated a twenty-one pound silverside Wednesday, September 1. The stripers were off a little during the Labor Day weekend adjusting to the north wind and cooler temperatures. There was also a lot of boat traffic. Limits were hard to come by. On Sunday, September 5 George Bryant from Grandview and Kevin Purdon from Bedford caught thirty-one and thirty-two inch stripers. Troy Nielson from Herington, KS landed a twenty-one pound striper the same day.
