Tickets are now available for the second annual Parade of Ponds, Texoma area's water garden tour, which will be held June 1 & 2nd. A fundraising event sponsored by Texoma Landscapes and Garden Center, the first Parade of Ponds held last summer was a huge success with 16 ponds on tour, over 400 people attending, and $3,200 raised for Crisis Center and Grayson County Juvenile Alternatives.
The pond tour is a great event for everyone whether you are already an avid water gardener or would just like to enjoy the abundance of life and the serenity found in beautiful landscape. The 50 ponds on this year's tour represent a wide variety of styles from natural to formal, large and small. Two area elementary schools will also be showing off their "Nature's Classrooms." Guests can observe and learn about many species of aquatic and border plants and colorful Japanese koi as well as the mechanics of water gardening. Pond owners will be available for answering questions and telling their best pond stories.
