August 1, 2002 commemorated a new era in KTEN's history. The official groundbreaking ceremony for the new 15,000 square foot building took place.
This new studio allows the station to grow in both size and creativity. The multi-million dollar building will be wired specifically for a television station, and therefore the station can produce better and more professional looking programs. This new building also allows KTEN to increase its sales, marketing, and production departments, bring new jobs to the area. Though the station looked all over Southern Oklahoma and North Texas, the fortunate site for the new building was Denison, Texas, the currant location of the station's headquarters.
For almost fifty years KTEN has been serving the Southern Oklahoma/North Texas area, and in their new building they will be better equipped for more than fifty additional years.
