Tom Bean, TX -- Tom Prasado-Rao, Cary Cooper, Guy Forsyth, Tracie Merchant, and Bill Nash are just some of the singer/songwriters who will be on stage at Beanstock Spring Festival, March 29-30. Beanstock is a two-day music festival designed to bring together some of the country’s finest acoustical musicians. Held in the fall and again in the spring, Beanstock seeks to preserve the rich tradition of acoustical folk, bluegrass, Americana and blues music. This “Mountain Soul” music will be presented on 16-plus acres of the Coyote Ridge Ranch which is located 3 miles south of Tom Bean, Texas.
“We have attracted some of the country’s most recognized singer/songwriters to Beanstock every year, and this year is no exception, “according to Dan Magers, festival organizer. “The ranch provides an intimate setting where the audience can interact with the artists.” The festival is in its third year.
Other artists scheduled to appear are Alex Whitmore and Twangit, Jay Johnson, Doug Burr, John Walker, Darryl Rush, Nina Katrina, New Hokum Boys, Alma Squillante, and Butch Morgan.
The wooded, rolling hills of Coyote Ridge, where the main stage is situated, make a great outdoor amphitheater with nearly perfect acoustics. In addition to the stage acts, the evenings include visiting campsites, listening to campfire pickin’, and sharing food and friendship. Guests are welcome to camp and rustic facilities are available. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawnchairs. Concessions will be available during the show and guests are allowed to bring their own coolers. Admission price to the event is only $15 per day or $25 total for campers. Tom Bean is approximately 55 miles northeast of Dallas, and a map to the site is on the Beanstock website, www.beanstock.org.
