We would have called it the Perfect Margarita, but with so many recipes declaring themselves the winner, we’d be hard pressed to make a case that this recipe is the ‘Perfect’ one. Who knew that a cocktail with only three basic ingredients (tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice) could inspire so many different permutations? But here’s a basic, iconic recipe we really like, and we think you will too!
INGREDIENTS
2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Triple Sec (Orange Liqueur)
2 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice (key limes will give your margarita a tart kick)
DIRECTIONS
Combine tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice a chilled shaker and shake or stir. Rub the rim of a stem glass with lime rind, spin in salt—add ice, pour, and sip.
