We’re a senior couple living in North Texas, and we’re reaching out with a sincere request and hope in our hearts.
We’ve been without a car since March 2023, and it’s made everyday life extremely difficult. My husband is dealing with serious health issues and is still trying to keep his real estate business going. But without transportation, he can’t show homes or meet clients. We've been relying on rideshares just to get to doctor appointments, the grocery store, and basic errands — but it's taking a huge toll on our limited income.
We survive on Social Security, receiving about $1,300 a month between the two of us. After rent, utilities, and medical costs, we have nothing left for a vehicle. We can afford gas, insurance, and maintenance each month — we just don’t have the funds to purchase a car, not even a down payment.
If anyone has an unused, reliable vehicle — even one that needs a little work — and would be willing to donate it, we would be beyond grateful. We’re not looking for anything fancy, just something that runs safely and will help us regain our independence.
